In The Beginning...
JHT's long history began in 1933 with the formation of Kenosha Auto
Transport. Nicholas Demos from Kenosha, WI had an idea to transport
finished vehicles from the manufacturer to the dealer more
efficiently than by the single driveaway method commonly used during the time.
Initial customers were International Harvester and Nash Motors.
Kenosha Auto Transport (KAT) was born and during the last 69 years it has gone
through various mergers, acquisitions and combinations all related to the
transportation industry. KAT, headquartered in Kenosha, Wi, primarily
transported new and used automobiles via multi-level carhaul equipment and
medium and heavy-duty trucks via the driveaway and lowboy method.
